Update, May 8: 100% of the money raised has gone to United Voices for children. Over $500 and counting.
Since we began shelter in place, I have been working with children and families on how to name God’s presence in the midst of what is hard and scary about the pandemic. As they’ve come to me, I’ve been writing down words of prayer. Last week I compiled them into a short booklet.
Sheltered at Home: Family Prayers for Living and Loving is available on both Amazon and Etsy. I will donate all (updated May 8) of the proceeds from this book to nonprofits that serve vulnerable kids through United Voices for Children, an organization I have had the honor of serving as a board member.
UPDATE: Having received a number of requests for group pricing, I made several options available on Etsy. I am so grateful that many are finding these prayers meaningful.
My hope is that these words help families connect with God in prayer and also raise funds to positively impact the lives of children.
Ways you can help:
- Purchase the book on Amazon and Etsy. Thanks for leaving a review!
- Spread the word on social media.
- Give directly to organizations that serve children.
- Pray, pray, pray for children.
Thank you, readers, for the multitude of ways you care for children each and every day.
P.S. This book is a self publishing experiment. I am grateful for grace and “connection over perfection.”
