This has been sitting in my journal for a few months now. I hope that this quiet, Friday, Advent evening, is a good time for it to shine.
Holy God, God of Light, break into our dusty, messy souls. Sweep away stubbornness, anger and selfishness with a stroke of love. Let your Light settle into our deepest places, seeping into our hearts. May all of our words and actions emerge from your Light within us. Amen
