Prepping for fall is in full swing! Last week I had a great conversation with Scott Hughes at Discipleship Ministries about online small groups and faith formation. Listen to the podcast here.
I don’t claim to have online faith formation totally figured out, but I’m willing to do some low-risk experimentation. For example, during this school year I will be doing monthly Zoom meetings with parents from my church on relevant faith forming topics. The first one is next week, entitled, “What’s new in Sunday school?” With the dates and topics set, I am excited to see how this pilot project unfolds!
We are just scratching the surface of utilizing digital tools to encourage spiritual growth. I have a few other resources available on the Workshops and Webinars portion of this site.
If you haven’t yet seen the See All the People Resources from Discipleship Ministries, I encourage you to take a look, especially at their Discipleship Pathways resources.
Speaking of digital spaces, my sister shared this timely tool to create a Family Media Use Plan – a smart idea to start the school year off right!
Finally, a little plug for my next online appearance: Mark your calendars and register now for this upcoming webinar with Practical Resources for Churches:

You’ve always done meaningful experimentation where tech meets faith, and I always appreciate it. 🙂
