Welcome back to the monthly list of curated resources for faith formation, Weaving Faith. I am Christine Hides and 2022 is the 10th anniversary of my career in ministry and this website – more on that in the coming months!

Many of us thought this new year would be easier. Perhaps few of us are surprised that it presents new and different challenges. And yet, as we approach the 2 year mark in this pandemic,  God’s hope guides us forward into things new and renewed. Below are a few new things worth sharing:

This post, “Helping Children Understand Love,” from Real Kids Real Faith is a great discussions starter for Valentine’s Day. For love-themed art projects check out this old post.

John Roberto does it again with a new book and website + updates to Lifelong Faith. I was delighted to be a part of the new Lifelong Faith Training offered in free video form.

I have new sermons and prayers posted. My most recent sermon is about relationships with those we disagree with. Here are a few books on that topic I found useful.

Check out Lent Full Circle, a devotional for families with children of many ages. A full list of my Lent and Easter resources can be found here.

I met Amelia Richardson Dress in person at APCE last week!

Author Glenys Nellist has directions and photos of her ‘Twas the Morning of Easter Storywalk on social media. Check it out!

I’m looking forward to reviewing two new books from Church Publishing in an upcoming post: Bad Things, Good People and God, a Guide for Teens and New Directions for Holy Questions: Progressive Christian Theology for Families.
